Living in Middleton, Idaho - Everything you need to know!

Middleton is the place you want to be if you're looking for lots of space and want to be in the country, and they've got some awesome little stores here and shops. We absolutely love Kravz. It is some of the best ice cream in the Valley and it is super bright outside. And here in Picadilly Park right across the way from Middleton Middle School, they installed an American ninja warrior playset. They raised the money for it over 4 years, kind of crowd funded it and the kids really wanted it.  And what they ended up doing was actually the teachers and the students and the school board members, parents, they all teamed up together, helped raise the money, and then they actually assembled the playground itself. 

They are playing on the American ninja warrior set rather than on being on their phones. That's what's super cool about this community is they bond together and they get stuff done and they get your kids outdoors. Picadilly Park also has a super cool playground, and a big splash pad. It has a BMX pump track, a skateboard, park, kind of all combined in one has this cool swing. It's kind of almost like a little rollercoaster type swing. And then this awesome splash.

About Middleton

It's about 10,000 people and continuing to grow. It's just west of Star and I'm basically just kind of north of Caldwell. There's a lot of farmland around Middleton. Again, if you're looking for space, this is the place to be. There's a lot of custom homes that you can buy here while some are older homes. Some are custom, some are in subdivision, semi-custom tract homes, huge, huge variety from different builders.

West Highlands

This is a really awesome community. There is a massive, massive grassy field where you can picnic, play football, ultimate frisbee, that kind of thing, sand volleyball court, community pool. And these homes are really, really gorgeous through like semi-custom homes so their track tones, but semi-custom so a lot more variety, not quite so cookie cutter in here, you've got some starter homes and the lower, square footage range 1,300-1,500 sqft, but then you go up into the 2,000sqft for sure.

Everything ranging from 3-5 bedrooms, 2 car garages and 3 car garages. And it's a fairly new community, but built last probably 10-15 years or so. And so you're going to have some more mature trees through here, and then also some newer construction parts of it where trees aren't quite as mature and still growing up. But this is a really beautiful community.

Prices are going to range from about mid $400,000 - $600,000, depending on what you're getting. Lots of kids here, obviously there's lots of basketball hoops right on the street. People got their side-by-sides out here, their razors and their RVs too.

Stonehaven 

This is a really cool community. There's a lot of semi-custom homes and you've got anything from starter homes to move up homes in here. 2 car garages, 3 car garages, a lot of RV bays as well, some boat bays. This community has a ton of flags. There are American flags all over the place, Trump flags of course, and back the blue flags.

But this is a really pretty cool community depending on what you're looking for. It’s right next to the high school here as well. They’ve got the football field right there, still a few homes under construction, but for the most part, this community is built out and you can see the trees aren't quite that mature yet. They'll grow up. Definitely a good one to check out here in Middleton.

Custom Homes on Acreage in Middleton Idaho

There's custom homes on acreage. Some of them have about a third of an acre, some are about an acre or so acre and a half. And that's what you can find here in Middleton, homes on acreage, larger homes and the 2,500 -3,500 sq ft custom homes, and kind of make it what you want. And that's pretty cool that you can find here in Middleton and really get the space you're looking for the big home that you're looking for exactly. And build it to spec as well. You can buy land and then build it to spec.

You can also find homes like this out here that are on acreage. You can have your small animal farm that you're looking for, your farm animals, your chickens, your goats, your horses, so equestrian properties, that kind of thing. This is just right out here in the country, Middleton. 

Some of them might be a little bit older, some of it might be brand new. Some you might build a buy land and build a brand new. But there were just a lot of options here for acreage property out here in Middleton. If that's what you're looking for, Middleton's probably going to be the place for you. Kind of like Star as well, we're going to find a lot more of it out here in Middleton and a little bit in Caldwell, too.

Valhalla Country Estates

A lot of the homes you'll find here, actually look like you could drop them into California because we're actually stuccoed for the most part. Some of them do have siding on them. But a lot of these are actually stucco at home. This is another subdivision that's dropped in, amongst the farm fields, there's horses right across the way here. 

And these home sites are going to be anywhere from about a quarter to a third of an acre. These are all custom and semi-custom homes. And they're absolutely gorgeous. A lot of these homes have RV bays built into them as well. And if you're looking for that, this is going to be a great option for you. These homes are starting at $600,000 and definitely go up from there pushing into the $800,000 plus, and these homes are going to be 3 and 4, some 5 bedrooms as well.

And they're going to be about 2,000 to 3,500 sqft, depending on the type of home that you end up with and the price range that you're looking for. This is new, some really beautiful homes, clearly a community that backs the blue, backs the red, lots of American flags. Lots of room for your toys. I've seen tons of trailers through here and get your side by side. Definitely a good option for you here in Middleton.

The Crossings

This is the Crossings Development built by Hubble Homes. And this is a little bit of higher end, I would say for Hubble Homes overall. There  are some semi-custom homes in here with a couple of the homes actually having RV bays. But even the ones that don't have RV bays, some of the driveways are larger or wider. You can park your RV out in front of your camper trailer, out in front. But a lot of the homes here have 3 car garages. And some of them,  also have views because it is on a slight hill.

If you're built on the edge of the subdivision here, you've got some views of the Valley below. This is a pretty cool community, fairly new, still the trees are still pretty young. We're going to take a little while to mature, but if you're looking for a place that has some starter homes, 1,500 sq ft or so to move up homes in the 2,000 - 3,000 sq ft range with 3 car garages ranging in price from about $550,000 - $700,000, depending on again what you're getting, if you're going to get that RV bay. You're going to certainly be paying more.

This subdivision is sold out. Anything here is going to be on the resale market. There's only a couple of homes for sale at the moment in here, but obviously people come and go. And so this might be a good option to checkout here in Middleton at the Crossings by Hubble Homes.

Crescent Lake and Lakes at Telaga

These two communities are connected to each other. One is Crescent Lake, and then the other one is Lakes at Telaga.

Lakes at Telaga, these are very luxury. These are custom homes, semi-custom and custom homes. And they're built around a giant pond. There's 2 ponds, which they're calling the lakes. One is fully built out and developed. The other one actually has yet to be built yet at the time of recording this video.

You can build to suit and these lots are going to be anywhere from about a quarter to a half acre, for the most part. A lot of them are closer to half acre and almost every one of the homes in Lakes at Telaga has a giant RV bays. Some of them even have the double RV bays.

All these homes are going to be pushing a $1 million plus range, and they're going to be ranging in size, usually 3 and 4 bedrooms. Sometimes 5 and generally about 2,500 to 3,500 sqft.

The Crescent Lake development, this is a more of a tract home, semi-custom and tract home. You're going to find again, 2 car garages, 3 car garages, some RV bays as well. Price points are going to be a little bit less than Lakes at Telaga. They're more, more tract home versus custom. A little bit friendlier on the budget than Lakes at Telaga. But really great options to check out here in Middleton.

The town itself, like I said, 10,000 people growing just really just a small strip through the Downtown. You've got a kind of your basic needs here. You're not going to have a lot of restaurants, but a few restaurants. You're going to have small doctor's offices, small convenience stores, gas stations, of course, like I mentioned, you got Kravz for the ice cream, which is absolutely awesome.

But for your main shopping, you're going to be heading back down into Caldwell or Nampa really. Nampa is where the Costco is or Meridian for Trader Joe's for instance. Also there is a Costco in Meridian and you've also got the Village, which has all your main shopping there for all your boutique stores as well.

Middleton, if you're looking for a lot of space, this is where you're going to want to be.  The homes here are going to range anywhere from starter homes and the low $400,000 range, all the way up to a $1 million plus, depending on your acreage and how large of a home that you're going to be getting.

If you're looking to buy in Middleton or in the Treasure Valley, you're looking for space, this is where you want to be.
